   True story- I attended a primary school in Chicago called Edgar Allan Poe Elementary. The principal was about seven feet tall and skeletally thin, with mottled dead-white skin and a ghastly appearance. (The poor man probably had cancer or something) My older sister told me he was a ghoul, and if he touched me I would turn into one myself. When I was in second grade I flew around a corner in my usual graceful manner and plowed right into him, and when he kindly attempted to help me to my feet I rewarded his concern by shrieking like a wounded banshee and bolting right out the front door of the school.  I would like to tell you I am making this up but unfortunately I am not. 

   On a less embarrassing note, I also love drowsykitty’s gothic dreamscape of a blog.
